Dr. Kent has a long-standing history of studying the social determinants of health and contributing to the understanding of health equity. Along with being the Medial Director of the Pediatric Fibrolamellar Carcinoma Program and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, he is also the Advocacy Role Leader for Rush University Medical College. Based on her ability to organize an 8 person research team of undergraduate students, research assistants, and physicians along with her ability to receive two grants for the RIBMEAT project, she was granted the opportunity to become Co-PI of the research study. She has presented research findings at the Student National Medical Association’s AMEC Conference and the American Medical Association’s ChangeMedEd conference. She is completing her Internal Medicine residency and plans to continue conducting research regarding health disparities, health equity, and medical education.
